Hello Hue,
First, we want to send you all the best wishes for the upcoming New Year.
For the previous trip with your agency, we did have a head full of beautiful landscapes of Vietnam.
There are just a few words about these three weeks.
First, we must emphasize the flawless organization of our trip. There’s no waiting; our guides were always on time ... We really enjoyed it. Different people with different styles and personalities, but all are pleasant and helpful.
The Museum of Ethnology really surprised us with the quality of the place. We discovered the history of Vietnam, different ethnic groups of the country and their costumes which allowed us to recognize them throughout our next trip.
It is really an interesting starting point. There, we had the chance to attend a "water puppet show" inside the museum campus.
Arriving Sapa, despite the mist and drizzle, we admired the beautiful rice terraces during a long walk. Contacting with local people and exchanging some embroiders, we also learned some about the local customs. The women here always show their kindness and faithfulness. One of them invited us to visit her home. What looked like a kind of barn was very well organized inside with a kitchen, old room under the roof with dry corns and wood.
The visit to Mai Chau left us hungry. This village is mainly inhabited by the White Thai, presenting superb scenery. The stilt houses are elegant, clean and many are decorated. The host family treated us like members of the family and we again had a great evening with dance hosted by our guide. Bamboo dance has no secrets for us!
The bike tour at sunset was wonderful but seemed too short.
The trip to Hue led us to discover several pagodas, temples. The rickshaw ride allowed us to have a general view of the city while enjoying ourselves frankly with our "drivers" ....who struggled a bit to convey us under hot weather ... and we are not light!
The 24-hour trip on the beautiful sampan along the Perfume River was also great. This allowed us to draw on rice paper with the help of an artist, to stretch our legs with bike tour to explore the magnificent temples built in the villages.
We really admired the colorful sculptures, very meaningful.
In the evening, we had two surprises: a foot massage and a bath with herbs. We loved it!
It was a day full of emotions and wonderful moments with us.

The last destination of our trip was Saigon, of course. After the first day with our guide who was passionate about telling us the history of Vietnam, we took a city tour for a maximum of visits, including Cho Lon district and its very special temples, all with lots of humor.
We will definitely remember your beautiful country for our lifetime!
Cheers and long life ASIATICA,
Frontero J
