I wanted to go to Cambodia for a couple of weeks. After looking at the fantastically high prices charged by some UK travel companies, I wondered if Asiatica (a company that I have regularly used for our Vietnam holidays) might organise something. Sure, enough, they have some very nice packages to Cambodia.
I tweaked the itinerary a bit - something that Asiatica are used to, and good at - and off I went. Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, and then down to Koh Rong for some beach time. It all went exceptionally well. Drivers and Guides were friendly, punctual and informative.
I would like to thank Thida in the Seam Reap office. But, especially, my grateful thanks must go to Ms Chau in the Hanoi office. Throughout the whole of the holiday she was always on hand to check that everything was going according to plan. I found WhatsApp especially useful in communication with Ms Chau. Even when it was clear that the Hanoi office was closed for the evening or weekend, Ms Chau was always there to help us out.
On returning from Koh Rong, rough seas prevented us from docking at the Speed Ferry terminal, and we ended up in the sprawling Sihanoukville port. Obviously, our pick-up driver didn't know this. However, Ms Chau to the rescue - liaising with the Seap Reap office to re-route our driver. That kind of service leaves you feeling very safe and comfortable.
So I have now completed my 5th trip with Asiatica - this time to Cambodia. Linh and Linda did wonders for us on the Vietnam trips, and I was very fortunate in having Ms Chau looking after me in Cambodia.
A brilliant travel agency that I will continue to use in the future. Thank You!!!
