Children in remote areas northern Vietnam are living in extreme hardship and poverty. Books and schools are luxury to them as they are too busy with helping parents earn a living or taking care of younger siblings. Even if they are allowed to go to school, they usually quit soon due to lack of money and other necessary resources.

With a view to bringing more children in remote villages of Ha Giang to go to school, Asiatica Travel has taken an initiative called “Hành trang cho em” (School for future). The program funds local children to buy books and utilities for school. It also calls for donations of used books, clothing, shoes, toys, etc to distribute to Ha Giang children in preparations for their upcoming new school year. The company hopes it will raise community awareness about children right and illuminate hope for a better future for them.
