PROGRAM DETAIL
Day 01 . Thu 02 November 2017 : Hanoi arrival @8:15 - Hanoi city tour (AK516) (B, L) | Guide and driver
Upon arrival at International Airport at 8:15AM, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide & driver. Starting the day trip will be a light breakfast at one of the inner city’s finest local “pho”, Vietnam’s national dish. Large choices of “pho bo” (beef noodle soup) and “Pho ga” (chicken noodle soup). We then visit Hoan Kiem lake & Ngoc Son Temple set on a tiny island in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake. Ngoc Son Temple dates back to the 13th century, and the lake itself is the picturesque heart of Hanoi, frequented by tourists and locals alike. Check in hotel at noon time, then have lunch at Cha Ca Thang Long, has been listed as one of the 1,001 dishes to eat before you die.
In the afternoon, we will take a walking tour around the Old Quarter, through the backstreets where small vendors set up their stalls along the road. Take a rest whilst enjoying some excellent street food including “banh my”, and “bun cha” (fresh rice noodles with grilled pork and herbs). Walk down the Old Quarter’s corners, and enjoy a cup of famous Egg Coffee at a hard-to-find café, which is one of the few left in the narrow street inside the old quarter of Hanoi.
Wrap up the day with the traditional water puppet show in the late afternoon

Day 02 . Fri 03 November 2017 : Hanoi - Ha Giang (B) | Guide and driver
After breakfast, at 8AM, you will take 8-hour drive to Ha Giang, via Tuyen Quang province. Along the way, you will see a picturesque landscape of rolling hills, quiet villages and lush rice paddies dotted with palm trees. Arrive in Ha Giang town in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Ha Giang.
Day 03 . Sat 04 November 2017 : Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Lung Cu - Dong Van (B, L, D) | Guide and driver
Have breakfast and drive to Quan Ba District. On the way, enjoy the spectacular scenery of the mountains on frontier area, stop at Quan Ba Heaven Gate for some photos, admire the beauty of Breast Mountain. Then drive to Yen Minh District for lunch.
After lunch we visit Lung Cam village and the house where Pao’s story was filmed. Proceed the tour by visiting Vuong Palace – the house of Vuong Chi Sinh, king of H’mong people, a special complex of architecture, it’s only seen in Dong Van. Finishing visiting Vuong Palace we keep driving for Lung Cu flag tower, the Northernmost point of Viet Nam. Lung Cu is historic and sacred tourism destination, and is proud of each Vietnamese people. Then our car heads back to Dong Van District. Free to explore Dong Van Old Street.
After having dinner you can go to Dong Van coffee shop at Dong Van Old Street for a cup of coffee, some gossips and traditional music performance. Overnight at the hotel in Dong Van Town.
Day 04 . Sun 05 November 2017 : Dong Van - Meo Vac - Ha Giang - Hanoi (B, L) | Guide and driver
Breakfast at your hotel before visiting Dong Van market, then depart for Meo Vac District. Stop at Ma Pi Leng pass for a dramatic view. Ma Pi Leng Pass belongs to Ha Giang province; it is dangerous road with 20 kilometers length. Over the Ma Pi Leng, there has a mountain with 2.000 meters height located on the 'Happiness' road connecting Ha Giang, Dong Van and Meo Vac town.
Keep driving and have lunch at Tam Son Commune.
Several stops on the way back for photos taken before continue driving to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at 21:00. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 05 . Mon 06 November 2017 : Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi (B, L) | Guide and driver
After breakfast depart to Halong Bay at 8AM via Thai Binh and Nam Dinh, passing a peaceful countryside typical of Red River Delta with endless rice fields and winding rivers. We will arrive at Halong’s tourist wharf around noon and embark an elegant wooden junk.
12:00 Arriving at Wharf #1 - Tuan Chau International Port . Check in on board.
12:15 Enjoy local sea food Lunch, pass by numerous beautiful islets : Fighting Cock (Hòn Gà Chọi), Insence (Hòn Lư Hương), Dog (Hòn Chó Đá), Duck (Hòn Con Vịt)…
14:00 Explore Surprising (Sửng Sốt) Cave - The most famous grotto of Halong Bay.
15:00 Visit Titov Island - Climbing up to the top of the island, getting the whole views of the Bay or swimming at the lovely Titov’ Beach.
16:00 Continue cruising through Halong Bay.
18:00 Arriving at pier & drive back to Hanoi.
Arrive to Hanoi around 10PM. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 06 . Tue 07 November 2017 : Hanoi departure @9AM (AK517) (B) | Driver
Have your breakfast taken-away, then transfer to the airport at 6AM for departure flight.
