We very much enjoyed the trip you arranged for us. It was also good value for money. We were pleased with guides, drivers, transport & itinerary. If we were going again I might suggest we do slightly less because we covered a lot and they were long days.
PROGRAM DETAIL
Day 01 . Sun 30 October 2016 : Hanoi arrival (-) | Guide and driver
Arrival in Noi Bai airport Flight No HX528 to Hanoi on 30th October 2016 arriving 16h55 , you will be picked up then transferred to the hotel in city center. The check-in is available at 2 pm. The day is free for your own exploration and shopping. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 . Mon 31 October 2016 : Hanoi city tour (B, L) | Guide and driver
A full day spent touring Hanoi, the political, economic and cultural capital of Vietnam. Starting with the visit of Historic Museum. You will then visit the Temple of Literature, a temple built in honor of Confucius in 1070, and served as the first Royal National University in Vietnam founded in 1076. This temple and its beautiful garden provide an opportunity to learn more about the Mandarin education that has shaped Vietnam for 1000 years and to relax in this tranquil setting. The afternoon is spent exploring the alleys of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple or the Jade Mountain Temple situated in the heart of Hanoi. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 . Tue 01 November 2016 : Hanoi- Bat Trang- Dong Ky- Chua Dau- Hanoi (B, L) | Guide and driver
With Vietnamese people, the countryside is the most peaceful place that evokes the peasants’ laid back lives with bamboo trees, small tiled cottages, communal houses and sampan ferries. Traditional villages such as Bat Trang ceramic village and Dong Ky carpentry village are ideal places to get a glimpse into Vietnamese rural life as well as to discover the talents of Vietnamese people with their beautiful handicraft making traditions.
Pick you up at your hotel at 8.00 am. Transfer to visit Bat Trang ceramic village. On the way to Bat Trang, you can see the daily life of local people living along the bank of Red River. You will walk around Bat Trang village and its interesting ceramic workshops. You can also make ceramic products by yourselves then bring it to your home.
Leave Bat Trang, our car takes you to visit ancien Dau Pagoda. Finally arrive at Dong Ky carpentry village. Here they made furniture inlaid with mother of pearl and finish off with layer of brilliant lacquer. The work is highly elaborate as you will see how mother of pearl is delicately sawed info fine fish-bone sliver and set into wood. Back to Hanoi. End of the tour.
Day 04 . Wed 02 November 2016 : Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay (B, L, D) | Guide and driver
After breakfast, you depart to Halong Bay, passing beautiful scenery along the way full of lush rice paddies and winding rivers, typical of the Red River Delta. You will arrive at Halong’s tourist wharf around noon and embark a classic wooden junk. Lunch will be served as the boat gently cruises past numerous islands and limestone structures rising from the emerald waters of the bay. It is also an ideal opportunity to enjoy the sea breeze and refresh your soul. An experienced chef will prepare a fresh seafood dinner. Overnight on board in your private cabin.
Day 05 . Thu 03 November 2016 : Halong - Hanoi - flight to Saigon (B) | Guide and driver
Enjoy breakfast while savoring a magnificent sunrise as the boat cruises on Halong Bay. Then returning to the harbor where your car is waiting to drive you to Hanoi’s airport for your flight to Saigon. On the way, stop at Yen Duc village for the water puppet theatre. Flight to Saigon VN7261 1905 2115 . You will be picked up by our guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel in Saigon.
Overnight in Saigon.
For your son: He will arrive in Saigon this day at 18h40 CX0799 from Hong Kong. Our driver will pick him up and transfer to your hotel. He sleep in one seperate room.
Day 06 . Fri 04 November 2016 : Saigon - Ben Tre - Can Tho (B, L) | Guide and driver

Leaving the bustling city of Saigon behind, you depart to the Mekong Delta considered Vietnam’s biggest rice basket. Arrive at Hung Vuong pier in Ben Tre and embark your boat to cruise along Bến Tre River, a tributary of the great Mekong, to explore the local lifestyle and the daily hustle and bustle. Stop at the brickfield belonging to Mr. Tu Lo to see how bricks are made by hand in Vietnam and a coconut candy home factory located along the canal to witness the process of making this local candy and other souvenirs. You will then have the opportunity to taste bee honey tea at a local honey farm and a variety of tropical fruit that grow amply in the orchards of the Mekong Delta. You can then walk or go by tuk-tuk through the coconut groves and green rice paddies to soak up and relax in the tranquil countryside atmosphere. Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon you will take a trip on small rowing boats through a maze of waterways lined by two rows of palm tree. Cruise back to the pier and disembark. Drive to Can Tho for the night.
Day 07 . Sat 05 November 2016 : Can Tho - Sai Gon (B, L) | Guide and driver

In the early morning, we will visit Cai Rang floating market, the biggest and most famous floating market in the Mekong Delta. a Get into sampan to explore the maze of canals in Can Tho. Disembark and visit the beautiful old Binh Thuy house. Then stop at Lang Viet homestay to have lunch. Return to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 08 . Sun 06 November 2016 : Saigon- Cu Chi- Tay Ninh- Saigon (B, L) | Guide and driver

You will be picked up at the hotel at 08 am to drive to Tay Ninh, 100km from Ho Chi Minh, to visit the ornate temple of Cao Dai and attend a fantastic mid-day service. Caodaism followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of this curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Lunch at a local restaurant.
You then drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels, situated 70km from Saigon. The Cu Chi Tunnel system was created around 1948 to assist the Viet Minh in their combat against French occupiers. Construction and enlargement continued during American bombings and they were turned into an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapon factories and field hospitals. The Cu Chi Tunnels could house up to 10,000 people who lived underground for years, getting married and raising children. During the Vietnam- American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated as a fire free zone yet was heavily bombarded. Since 1988, two sections of the tunnels are open for visitors to crawl through and better understand the war. Overnight at hotel in Saigon.
Day 09 . Mon 07 November 2016 : Saigon - city tour (B) | Guide and driver

In the morning, you wil visit ten typical markets of the city by rickshaw (cyclo).
In the afternoon, you will visit the War Remnants Museum formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war. . The most impressive features of this structure are the intricately friezes and the carved tableaus towards the front of the pagoda. The impressive incense coils in the interior also make for some great photos. Then visit the Traditional Medecine Museum - FITO in a special house in wood.Overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh.
